Personal Observation: Date: not-important   - It seems that many people who are collectors of art, or who find it inspiring, have a desire to have custom art made just for them.  I think I will let people know that barring an  overloaded commercial schedule, that I do enjoy creating  personal commissions for people.  This art is different from commercial art, in that the commissioned artist does not grant any reproduction rights to the patron, and it is understood this art is for personal enjoyment only.

Note to self: I hate pricing original art.   Unfortunately everything must have a value, and with a value, established by desirability, comes a price.  Did I mention I hate pricing original art . . . I think I said that?

To take time from my commercial schedule ( that by which I pay my bills) a project must have a strong attraction for me.  I am in a position that I feel I don't have to accept every job thrown my way.  For pricing guidelines I prefer to be in the $500 (small/simpler) to $1000 (complex/larger) for pencil work, which seems to be my most sought after commission work.  Color work involves so many more stages, sketch, drawing, watercolor, airbrush, detail and finish, that it tends to fall in the $1000 and up range.  Although I am willing to discuss a project, and field any questions that a potential patron may have.  Please email me at mavmktg@qadas.com with any questions regarding personal commissions.

Some of these are portraits, and some are just flights of fantasy.

Some people collect . . .as a matter of passion...
