The following are a few of my favorite quotes
"People who end up at the top of the
mountain, never fell there" - Mark Twain
" Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you
were to live forever:" - Mahatma Gandhi
"It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice" - unknown

Personal Diary Entry from the Artist

Log Entry 412:
If someone were to read this traveler's entries, I suppose they would get a more personal
look into my life. I wonder what things they might learn? I also wonder,
if a truer idea of a person might not be gotten by those thoughts and comments made by
those who know a person best, those close to them.
Journal Photo Entry 215 : A brief Repose along
Niagara Falls. Day 4 of 5000 mile cross-country motorcycle trek.
My own brief synopsis of my life . . . I
think I will keep it simple. Born 1971 to loving supportive parents, preceded by 3 older
brothers. At age 16 I decided not to become a doctor, but decided instead to be an artist
(quite the career swing). I Attended Colorado State University to achieve a Bachelor of
Fine Arts. Much of this higher education was subsidized through Art Scholarships,
Awards and Grants. 1993 saw entry into the comic book field through several good friends.
I have found that my most enjoyable fields to work in are Fantasy, Science-Fiction, Gaming
and Comic Books.
Here's
some images of me, motorcycles, and assorted weirdness!

My Passion :
Lets face it, I'm a motor head. I love collecting, talking, fixing
and riding motorcycles. This is not a cheap hobby. I have what I call "A
rider's collection". Which means that my collection isn't just to look at, all
my bikes are for riding. Some are quite collectable, and some are not, the thing
they all have in common . . . they bring me extreme pleasure. I have currently
ridden
motorcycles in over half of the United States, I hope to eventually ride all 50 states,
and then start on the rest of the world.
A Favorite Art Quote: ...even the smallest detail . .
. can distinguish masterpiece from mediocrity.
The Rant- This is where I get to vent a little, read
on if you are interested. One of my biggest pet peeves is theft, especially when it
comes to my artwork. Now I've had several originals stolen through the years at
shows, which just plain sucks, but that's not what I am talking about. I'm talking
about the theft and use of artwork from websites.. I hate people who are
"users", people who are so egocentric they think everything out there is for
them. Artists place copyrights on their sites
for a reason. I
occasionally even grant people the usage of some
images . . . IF they ask permission. Copyright law says you can't use
something if you don't own the rights, but these people are just either to
ignorant to realize this . . . or just plain rude. So if you ARE one of
those people, I can honestly say ...what goes around comes
around.

The Year in Pictures, so to speak
The following is a poem that I
particularly enjoy . . . I hope you do to.
by Artist Eyvand
Earle 1916-2000
For me
Art has been an everlasting struggle.
No sooner do I accomplish what I set out to create
Than I am dissatisfied.
And I must start out all over again.
Any idea or endeavor remains valid
Only so long as I am in the progress of creating.
Then suddenly
I seem deserted of all inspiration and talent
And I must search for the reason
and the purpose and the goal of my creation.
Every attainment I have longed for
Becomes meaningless as soon as it is reached.
I even ponder the validity
Of being an artist.
And yet unendingly
I see in my mind's eye
A beauty not yet found on earth.
To reach that distant star (and yet so close)
I try and try and try again.
Seeming so close to reaching it
That I often think I've finally broken through.
And maybe sometimes here and sometimes there
I've caught a glimpse of that divine unseen
And captured just a piece of here and there.
